Harry T Maddicks was well known in Daylesford as a 1920s radio and television engineer, a business he ran in Daylesford for 40 years. He was the fourth generation of his family to have lived in Daylesford. his father was a photographer for 64 years, his grandfather in the 1890s was a railway man and his great-grandparents were miners in the early 1850s. He was a past President and Curator of the Daylesford & District Historical Society.
